Ohio Association of REALTORS Annual Convention & Expo

The Ohio Association of REALTORS Convention Continuing Education Programs offer practical and relevant information to its membership by featuring well-known speakers and fellow professionals. You are invited to share your expertise and experience by submitting a session proposal on-line.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 4, 2012

Who Attends the Convention?

  • 1,000 Ohio real estate professionals
  • Attendees average 12 years of real estate experience.
  • Over 80% attend 2+ scheduled sessions during the Convention.
  • Over the last three years an average of 78% indicate continuing education credit as the #1 reason to attend.

Benefits of Speaking:

  • Pre-convention electronic and print promotions, e.g. OHIO REALTOR Magazine, OAR Daily Buzz, OAR web site, press releases and other advance publicity.
  • Convention program with picture and session description.
  • Follow-up for program attendees who provide a business card.
  • Complimentary registration to the Convention.

Selected Speakers:

  1. Must agree to abide by OAR’s policy regarding product sales stating the Ohio Association of REALTORS will deduct $500 from the speaker fee or 10 percent of gross proceeds (whichever is greater), if products are sold by the speaker at any meetings or seminars outside the Exposition Area at the Annual Convention.
  2. Must agree to provide educational information only and to not promote or sell their products or services during an education session.

Must submit:

  1. A 20-25 bulleted outline suitable for continuing education filing.
  2. A biographical sketch
  3. A black and white photo in paper, .jpg or .eps format (if submitting a paper copy please include your name on the back of your photo.)

These materials must be received by April 4, 2012. Selected speakers must provide detailed, camera-ready student outline (no longer than 25 pages in length) no later than August 17, 2012. All materials will be available online to attendees.
